Lee’s Story

I’ve lived and worked in our constituency for 25 years. I have raised my children here with my wonderful wife, Julie.

My journey to being a Member of Parliament has not been typical – I was homeless for a while when I was young, and life has sometimes been a struggle. My background has taught me the importance not just of hard work and determination, but also how crucial it is to have a supportive family and community around you.

I am not a classic politician. My background is business – I’ve worked in industry all my life, with a focus on flood resilience and engineering. I stood to be our MP because I wanted to give back to the community that has done so much for me.

My principles are rooted in traditional Labour values – hard work, community, and support for those who need it most. I am proud to fight for the interests of all of us in Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme, because this is our home.

When I am not working as your MP, I enjoy spending time with my lovely family, walking our dog, Foggy, and exploring our beautiful local countryside. You can also hear me volunteering on our local community radio station, TMCR, every Friday night!
